Usbi is the Director, Care Coordinator, and a Registered Nurse. Holding a Bachelor of Nursing degree, Usbi brings over 16 years of extensive knowledge and experience in the care sector, making her a valuable asset to our team and participants.
With a robust background in clinical practice, Usbi has thrived in both acute and general medical settings. This diverse experience has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the patient journey through our health services. Her professional journey spans emergency care, elective surgical units, acute and subacute care, oncology, endocrinology, geriatrics, hospital-in-home services, wound care, urology, medical-surgical wards, neurology, orthopaedics, and mental health wards. Each challenging clinical setting has honed her resilience and adaptability, while her work with multidisciplinary teams has showcased her strong communication skills and deep respect for co-workers, participants, and their families.
Beyond her professional life, Usbi is a dedicated mother of two children. She finds great joy in helping participants live their best lives and being an integral part of the community. Her passion for supporting individuals as they grow and learn is evident in her efforts to connect participants with the services they need to achieve their goals. Before migrating to Australia, Usbi worked as a teacher, where she developed strong skills in supporting children’s varying needs and ensuring families feel involved and empowered.
Usbi’s commitment to community service extends to her role as a Regional Advisor for the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC) for the South Barwon Region, where she worked as a volunteer. Through various social activities, she has supported, preserved, and shared traditions, fostering respect, community unity, and intercultural relationships.
At Centre of Support, Usbi leads a team of experienced, dedicated, and passionate professionals who support individuals with disabilities, including those with very complex needs. Together, they provide innovative programs to address unmet needs and deliver quality disability support services to help clients achieve their life goals.
